Any resident is welcome to help work on a committee.   Click for Our <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maplewood-isle.com\/?page_id=472\" target=\"_blank\">current Membership<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Maintenance Committee<\/strong> &#8212; does periodic checks of existing mechanical\/electrical infrastructure and informs the board of required maintenance.&nbsp; Interfaces with Management Company\/Vendors to get systems repaired\/replaced as needed.<br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sprinkler systems throughout the neighborhood &#8212; interfacing with a sprinkler repair\/maintenance company<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fountains &#8212;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrical in cul-de-sacs &#8212; mostly lighting and fountain pumps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrical lighting at the gates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guardhouses\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Airconditioning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bathrooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>electrical\/lighting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gate mechanisms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Painting<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Construction Committee<\/strong> &#8212; Deals with larger projects outside the realm of Maintenance Committee. Currently, this committee is not active. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Road maintenance &#8212; Repairs and replacement of potholes, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Curb Maintenance &#8212; Mainly in the cul-de-sacs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bomanite\/Paver Maintenance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;Bridge&#8221; work at front gate.<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Landscape Committee<\/strong> &#8212; Deal with the Landscapers and Tree Trimmers.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spring and Fall Plantings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Landscape Trimming.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replacement as needed.<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social Committee<\/strong> &#8212; Plans Events throughout the year\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spring Barbecue &#8212; Called Cinco de Mayo in past years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fall Barbecue &#8212; July 4th or Labor day in past years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Halloween kids party.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Annual Meeting Lunch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Finance Committee<\/strong> &#8212; Assists the HOA Treasurer in preparation of monthly HOA financial documents.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist with annual budgeting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in duties assigned by the Treasurer for the annual audit<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Compliance Committee<\/strong> &#8212;&nbsp;Reports violations of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maplewood-isle.com\/docs\/maplewoodisleassociationrules_2016.pdf\">Rules and Regs<\/a> as well as our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maplewood-isle.com\/docs\/MWI_Amendment_to_Declarations_of_Restriction_1978_2012.pdf\">Restrictions<\/a> as recorded in our HOA docs to the Board of Directors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Nominating Committee<\/strong> &#8211;Provides candidates for annual Board position elections.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conducts meetings with perspective candidates to assure there is understanding of the roles and responsibilities. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Architecture \/ AMF Committee<\/strong> &#8212; Assists residents in understanding and using the HOA AMF process\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assists the HOA board in reviewing and understanding a resident&#8217;s AMF at HOA meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Communications \/ Publicity Laison <\/strong>&#8212; Assists the HOA board in communicating with residents.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assists in preparing Maplewood Isle Facebook Communications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assists in preparing Maplewood Isle &#8220;On-Call&#8221; Telephone message Communications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assists in preparing and sending Maplewood Isle e-mail communications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Appeals Committee<\/strong> &#8212; To hear appeals of residents for violations of HOA rules and regulations.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Authority to affirm or deny residential appeals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Security Committee<\/strong> &#8212; Oversee the HOA physical security process and procedures. This committee is currently not active.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Investigate residential incidents and concerns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with the HOA&#8217;s hired security company on incidents and issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and new or change existing processes and procedures for HOA Board approval<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement approved processes and procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Technical advisor Laison <\/strong>&#8212; Oversee and manage all Maplewood Isle technologies; camera systems, computer systems, plate readers. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Administrator for social media platforms; Facebook, One Call Now, Maplewood-Isle.com. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have 11 committees and 2 Laison positions tasked to help maintain the community.
